Long Beach Comic Con announced via press release the following news: "Six Voices from the 80s Classic Coming to Long Beach Comic Con 2016! With a guest list that includes: Michael Bell (the voice of Duke), Arthur Burghardt (Destro), Morgan Lofting (Baroness), Hank Garrett (Dial Tone) and Loren Lester (Barbecue) we already had a pretty awesome line-up of voice actors from the original G.I. Joe cast. Now it's getting even better! We are thrilled to announce the addition of Zack Hoffman the voice of Zartan! The JOE's will be appearing in our Animation Island all weekend, as well as, panels on Saturday & Sunday. In addition to meeting and signing autographs for the fans all weekend we are happy to offer a once in a lifetime photo opportunity with all six of our G.I.JOE guests. A professional photo with six heroes and villains from the classic TV show. A must have for any hardcore G.I. JOE fan! The writing team has finally been assembled for the Hasbro cinematic universe which is going to include G.I. Joe, Visionaries, Micronauts, ROM & M.A.S.K (Mobile Armored Strike Command). Hasbro is pushing to have these franchises become big hitters just like the Transformers franchise has become. The first three people are Michael Chabon, Nicole Perlman, & Brian K. Vaughan (All shown below) who are tasked with linking the cinematic universes' together. The writing team will include the following people Lindsey Beer, Geneva Robertson, Cheo Coker, Nicole Riegel, John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, Jeff Pinkner & Joe Robert Cole all shown below. Hasbro has announced a collaboration with Paramount Pictures to create a multi connecting universe containing G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionaries, M.A.S.K. & ROM. As reported by Deadline.com, it appears that after their Akiva Goldsman led Writers Room experiment which led to at least three movie ideas to extend Transformers, Hasbro and Paramount have set Goldsman to supervise a Writers Room for their G.I. Joe movie series.
