Earlier this week Combiner Wars Victorion the first all female fan voted combiner, hit Target.com for $99.99, I of course ordered one immediately. Below I will break down each piece of Victorion from the box to the completed combined design. PUNCH read more to continue...

What's In The Box?

Picture
Victorion does not come individually but instead comes completely boxed in vehicle mode. The box art is nice and the back shows the combined team with a picture of each one and their names.

She also comes with a poster that was shown off a few months ago.

Who's On The Team?

The team consist of 6 Autobots. Pyra Magna (Torso), Dust Up (Left Arm), Jumpstream (Right Arm), Skyburst (Left Leg), Stormclash (Right Leg) & Rust Dust (Chest Attachment). Each of these figures was given a unique head sculpt for this set. So even though the vehicle modes are repeats these figures still have a unique look to them.  Below I will break down each of these figures in groups of two.

Pyra Magna & Rust Dust

Pyra Magna is the torso of Victorion and Rust Dust is the chest attachment. They both are very detailed figures, Pyra Magna is a repaint of the existing Defensor and Bruticus torso molds and Rust Dust is a repaint of Groove but both have some additional markings. Specifically Rust Dust has a crack in her windshield and some Cybertronian markings on the side by the handle bars.
Transforming both of these figures is semi complicated and can be a bit frustrating. Hasbro again used the grey on white instructions with the highlighted red areas but with no words. Normally no words are fine but sometimes a few words would make things allot easier. The most obnoxious part of transforming Pyra Magna to robot mode was figuring out what they wanted me to do with the ladder pieces. The images were unclear and the ending picture showed an extra detail that the transformation process left out. You will see in the images she has this 2 grey pieces attached to her back. Those are actually the new feet molds that Victorion uses but it still would have been nice to be told to put them there instead of looking at the picture and trying to figure out what they were. Once transformed Pyra looks great and has a pretty cool looking weapon as well. Rust Dust has similar issues with transformation but since she is only 6 steps its easier to figure out. Both robot modes are shown below.

Dust Up & Jumpstream

Dust Up forms the left arm of Victorion and Jumpstream forms the right arm. Both figures are previously used molds with different head sculpts. Transforming them to Robot mode is easy and requires little effort the instructions are clear and do not pose any issues. They are a sturdy design and have cool weapons. In vehicle mode both figures display Cybertronian writing on one side.

Skyburst & Stormclash

Skyburst and Stormclash form the left and right legs of Victorion. They are exactly the same except for a few paint details and different head sculpts. They are reused molds of the helicopter vehicle form that we have seen multiple times before. They have these cool sword weapons but other than that nothing really crazy going on with them. Transformation from vehicle to robot is simple and requires little effort.

A Lady Needs Accessories...

Victorion does not come with much in the accessory department each figure comes with a weapon (except Rust Dust) and she comes with new hand and feet molds designed specifically for her. I am sure some very expensive Cybertronian fashion designer made them for her. Her weapons can all combine to form a giant sword which looks cool but she cant hold it, or at least I had no luck getting her to hold it. Her feet molds are actually designed to be heels, because when you are fighting Decepticons in a 4 million year war fashion is still important. Check them out below.

Time To Combine

I originally had my doubts that this color scheme would work together and look great but after combining these figures into Victorion those doubts quickly left. None of the colors are over powering to the other and you aren't slammed in the face with too much of one color. They are balanced very well. Victorions head sculpt is very detailed and looks great as well. Rust Dust was a big problem she goes on the same way Groove attached to Defensor which is terrible. After combining I fought with Rust Dust for about 20 mins to get her to stay on the chest. It is definitely one of those figures that you might want to glue one if you have no intentions of ever taking Victorion apart or just leave that piece off all together. Transforming the various Autobots into Victorions limbs were easy and work similar to previous figures. The only thing I noticed to be different here is that the instructions do not let you change the hands to feet and the feet to hands. I am sure it can be done but the instructions are not included.

Victorion

Lets Compare

Victorion is about the same height has the previous combiners even with her heel feet and is slightly taller than the Legacy Dino Megazord.

Is She Worth It?

Based on everything I would say yes you should pick up a Combiner Wars Victorion for multiple reasons. Yes she has some issues but nobody is perfect. The good with this figure out weigh the bad. She looks good, she can be posed semi easily, she is a first, being of an all female team and the colors look good. The price point is decent and in line with other Combiner Wars figures at $99.99 for the entire set. Still not sure if she is Target Exclusive or not but she is still available at www.Target.com. I give Combiner Wars Victorion .....
