Optimus Maximus is combined with 5 different Transformers figures Sunstreaker, Prowl, Ironhide, Mirage & Optimus Prime. The figures themselves are similar to previous Combiner Wars figures with some of them just having slight changes to the head and color scheme.

The figures have limited movement but can all be easily posed to look cool on a shelf if you just want to get Sunstreaker, Prowl, Ironhide & Mirage like the other combiner limbs these 4 figures also come with Combiner Wars comics and special covers for each. Optimus Prime is basically a Motor Master repaint with a different head but still looks really cool holding his two guns.

Changing these figures into the limbs and torso of Optimus Maximus all have varying issues. Some of them being the instructions are just unclear while others fight you the entire way with movement of the parts.  This however was not really a major issue although it did produce a few curse words along the way. One major issue I was having was Ironhides head falls off way too easily, it is not loose it is just sensitive to touch.

Optimus Maximus is basically a Menasor clone he even shares Menasors terrible ability not to stand up correctly. It took me a few minutes to adjust to this awkward white color scheme which I feel would have been a bit better if Prowl wasn't also white. Personally I feel like Hound and his green color scheme would have gone better with this combiner. Unfortunately Hound is being used in the Skyreign combiner set due out sometime this year. So eventually if you want you can switch Prowl and Hound.
Optimus Maximus is the same height as the other combiners in the series and he can be posed pretty well as long as you fight with him a bit.  Below is a comparison shot of Combiner Wars Optimus Maximus & the Power Rangers Legacy Line Megazord.

In the end Optimus Maximus is a great figure to add to your Transformers collection. We at Power-Punch give this full set a total of 3 out of 5 PUNCHES!
