The Power Ranger Legacy Firgure (Build-A-Figure) products measure about 6.5" tall, have 20 points of articulation & come with parts to build the Megazord from their respective series. Wave one consists of MMPR Red, MMPR Green, Ninja Storm Red, Ninja Storm Blue & Ninja Storm Yellow. These figures are priced at $19.99 and have started hitting shelves this month in assortment packages. I picked up my Legacy Figures at a local Target that had them in the back room but not on the floor yet, give a Target Team Member this DPCI 087-06-4657 and they can find it for you. These figures have also started showing up on Amazon & at Toys R Us Stores. Bandai says we can expect to see all of the Ranger teams created including 6th rangers at about one wave per year, they have also stated that the 6th Rangers will not come with Zord pieces but instead come with a special 6th weapon or accessory. Below you can read my review of the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Legacy Figure.
Packaging
The packaging design used for the Power Rangers Legacy Figures are new when compared to Bandai's packaging format. They look similar to the packaging used on the DC Comics Icons packages, they sport the curved edge on one side and the words "Legacy Collection" with the Ranger color written below it on the plastic. The front shows the Ranger season at the bottom, that Rangers picture and the "Build A Megazord" image as well. The remaining front of the packaging is clear and shows the Ranger and the accessories they come with. The back of the package shows the current wave of Legacy Figures available and the Zord that can be built by purchasing all 3 of the current Ninja Storm team. The Rangers are held into their plastic casing by only a few plastic straps that are easily cut with a scissor additionally they are not attached at every joint and the weapons are taped into their holding spots. Check out some of the packaging photos below.
The only accessories that come with the Legacy Red Ranger are a folded Blade Blaster and the Dino Megazord Torso. It really bothers me that they chose not to give him his Power Sword or the Blade Blaster in Blaster or Blade modes. I know the SDCC 2016 Legacy Figure came with the metallic version of both the Power Sword and Dino Megazord sword so to not include something more for a weapon just seems odd. The lack of the extra weapons really limits how you can pose and display this Legacy Figure.
Posing
The 20 points of articulation that Bandai has given to the Power Rangers Legacy Figures really gives alot of options when trying to find the perfect pose for these figures. Even with the terrible weapon that Bandai has chosen to include, you can still get some decent poses out of this figure. The weapon slides into his hand with little effort and unlike the Green Ranger there is no shield to restrict movement.
Final Thoughts
Considering all of the options, I recommend that you pick up these figures or at least grab the Rangers from your favorite season. I personally will be picking up all of the Legacy Rangers that they release. The Legacy Red Ranger gets 4.5 out of 5 PUNCHES. I would have given him a 5 out of 5 if he came with an additional or better weapon.

Over the weekend at PowerMorphicon Saban revealed the actors that will be playing the Ninja Steel Rangers.
It is worth noting that Peter Sudarso is the brother of Yoshi Sudarso who played the Blue Ranger on Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Dino Super Charge. Yoshi was unaware that his brother would be playing the new Ninja Steel Blue Ranger until Saban brought the new cast out on stage at PowerMorphicon this weekend! Power Rangers Ninja Steel is set to air in January 2017. Looking for more information on Power Rangers Ninja Steel? PUNCH the button below! Interested in more Power Rangers News & Reviews?
