Series 3 Legacy Ranger Build-A-Figure : Power Rangers In Space Pink, Blue & Black Ranger - Review4/2/2017 SPECIFICATIONS
PACKAGING
The packaging for the Power Rangers Legacy Figures has remained the same as previous waves. The front is a clear plastic allowing you to see the Ranger inside the packaging (allowing you to inspect them for factory damages), the back of the packaging shows what Megazord that specific Ranger helps you complete and on the lower part you can see the full set of Rangers that come in that wave. This wave (series 3) brings us Power Rangers : In Space Pink, Blue & Black as well as the remaining Mighty Morphin Rangers White & Yellow.
Once removed from the outer cardboard the Rangers are "securely" locked into a plastic packaging, I have securely in quotes because my In Space Black Ranger has his weapon and holster loose in the packaging and my In Space Blue Ranger had one of his arms not secured as well. The Pink Ranger was held into the packaging at the waist by a plastic tie which is easily cut away but Black & Blue did not have this added protection. Typically the male Rangers are held in at one wrist by the same plastic tie, this could be how my Blue Ranger freed his hand during shipping.
THE RANGERS
I am going to start this section by advising everyone reading that there are some defects in the Ranger Legacy Line that been showing up more and more. A good example of this is that the Pink In Space Ranger that I have has a loose neck so her head tends to lean forward very easily, this is not a big issue but others are reporting loose waists, hips and arm joints on various figures in this line. This is also something we saw in the Power Rangers Movie Legacy Rangers as well. Now don't go grabbing your pitchfork and torch just yet, these flaws tend to happen I would suggest trying to locate another of the figure you have an issue with and exchanging it or contacting Bandai America to see if they can assist you, I have provided a link to their customer service page below.
Aside from those inconsistent issues, the Rangers are easy to pose and look great when combined with the entire team. It is important to note that this is the 3 core team I have completed but possibly the 4th for some of my readers depending if you picked up the rest of the MMPR set as well. After this wave completes shipment we will have Mighty Morphin, Ninja Storm, Power Rangers Movie + Alpha 5 & In Space all completed leaving a few months before the next wave comes out which I believe is the Mighty Morphin Metallic Ranger set with their Power Weapons.
These 3 figures bring us the remaining parts to the Astro Megazord (Personally one of my favorite Megazords), Pink gives us an arm, Blue gives us the missing leg & Black gives us the other arm.
This set of Rangers looks amazing when standing together and as you can see there are many options for posing them in a group.
ASTRO MEGAZORD
The Astro Megazord looks amazing and even though it is lacking a few details, the ones they made sure to add really give the figure a completed look. There are limited joints on the Megazord figures making posing a bit complicated but I found a position I liked him in fairly easily.
When compared to the existing Megazords we have been able to build so far, the Astro Megazord comes in at the mid height range and they all look awesome when standing next to each other.
FINAL THOUGHTS
As always the Power Rangers Legacy Figures do not disappoint, Bandai brings us just enough details to make the figures & Megazords look amazing without making the price point really high. These figures go above and beyond the regular 5" line and are definitely worth a purchase. The minor manufacturing defects can be annoying but are so rare that it should be easy to find a replacement Ranger if you come across one that is a bit looser than you would like.

The Power Rangers Legacy Build-A-Figure wave 2 sets have started hitting stores just in time for the holiday season. Each priced at $19.99 and none of them let us complete a new Megazord, we can expect to see the Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger out in Series 3 with the White Ranger and the Pink, Blue & Black In Space Rangers. This will allow the completion of the Dino Megazord as well as the Astro Megazord from Power Rangers In Space.

The Legacy Red Ranger Helmet from Bandai is a first time product for the company showcasing a full cos-play Red Ranger helmet. This product is priced at $99.99 and is not a retailer exclusive. The product was originally scheduled for release in November but Toys R Us stores were selling the product as it arrived to them.
Packaging
The Legacy Helmet packaging is actually not bad. The packaging features the Red Ranger on it, images of the helmet and a story of the Red Ranger as well as the origin which is similar to other Legacy Line packages. The helmet itself comes wrapped in tissue paper and then wrapped in plastic and then encased in a cardboard shell. This is good because even if the outside box is a bit damaged from shipping the product inside it most likely perfectly fine.
The Helmet & Stand
The Legacy Helmet does include a stand to display it which is a great idea. The stand has a plate on the front that says "Mighty Morphin Red Ranger" and it is done in a gold metallic paint. To me this was a great touch by Bandai and really gives the product a nice way to display it. The helmet itself is great, keep in mind this is a cos-play helmet for $99.99 and most actual cosplay helmets will cost you anywhere from $250.00 to $300.00 depending on the maker. Than being there are key differences in the Bandai version and any cosplay made helmet, the Legacy Helmet is done in a matte finish not a shiny finish (not really a big issue for me), the plastic is VERY thin in spots and the helmet itself has very little weight to it (again not a problem), the latches on the side are not actual latches but are a tension clip that can be a bit frustrating to lock back into place after the helmet is placed on your head, additionally, the Helmet comes apart at the seem so you have to make sure it is attached all the way around but this is done with just some light pushing. The helmet comes with a hairnet which I am assuming is to keep you from catching your hair in the seems when locking it into place and the inside contains a snap back style device to make the inside fit a larger or smaller head. Venting is a slight issue on the Legacy Helmet, the only vents are near the visor seeming and it does not do much for air, clearly you are not going to suffocate inside the Legacy Helmet but you will fog up the visor fairly quickly. So extra thoughts on this product, the pin striping is really good and you can easily see through the visor, it is not glasses friendly or at least I had an issue wearing my glasses inside it with my big head....
Final Thoughts
The Legacy Red Ranger Helmet is a great product and being the first time Bandai has tried their had at a full cos-play helmet it could have gone either way. I think they did an excellent job with this Legacy product, they kept the price down and in line with other Legacy items as well as gave us a very good cos-play item, the added details and gave a stand. If you plan on picking up any of the Power Rangers Legacy products for the holidays I definitely suggest adding the Legacy Red Ranger Helmet to that list. Additionally I do hope that they decide to release more of these helmets either in the form of full teams or even Red Rangers.

At NYCC 2016 Bandai had the Power Rangers Movie Red Ranger Legacy Figure available for purchase as an exclusive item to the Con. This was the first time any merchandise from the new Power Rangers Movie was sold. This figure was done in the same type of paint as the Legacy Mighty Morphin Red Ranger from SDCC 2016 and came with the Sword and Power Coin. Below I will break down the packaging and the product so you can get your first look at the Legacy Movie Red Ranger Figure! The Power Rangers Movie by Lionsgate is due to teleport into theaters on 03/24/2017.

The Power Ranger Legacy Firgure (Build-A-Figure) products measure about 6.5" tall, have 20 points of articulation & come with parts to build the Megazord from their respective series. Wave one consists of MMPR Red, MMPR Green, Ninja Storm Red, Ninja Storm Blue & Ninja Storm Yellow. These figures are priced at $19.99 and have started hitting shelves this month in assortment packages. I picked up my Legacy Figures at a local Target that had them in the back room but not on the floor yet, give a Target Team Member this DPCI 087-06-4657 and they can find it for you. These figures have also started showing up on Amazon & at Toys R Us Stores. Bandai says we can expect to see all of the Ranger teams created including 6th rangers at about one wave per year, they have also stated that the 6th Rangers will not come with Zord pieces but instead come with a special 6th weapon or accessory. Below you can read my review of the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Legacy Figure.
Packaging
The packaging design used for the Power Rangers Legacy Figures are new when compared to Bandai's packaging format. They look similar to the packaging used on the DC Comics Icons packages, they sport the curved edge on one side and the words "Legacy Collection" with the Ranger color written below it on the plastic. The front shows the Ranger season at the bottom, that Rangers picture and the "Build A Megazord" image as well. The remaining front of the packaging is clear and shows the Ranger and the accessories they come with. The back of the package shows the current wave of Legacy Figures available and the Zord that can be built by purchasing all 3 of the current Ninja Storm team. The Rangers are held into their plastic casing by only a few plastic straps that are easily cut with a scissor additionally they are not attached at every joint and the weapons are taped into their holding spots. Check out some of the packaging photos below.
The only accessories that come with the Legacy Red Ranger are a folded Blade Blaster and the Dino Megazord Torso. It really bothers me that they chose not to give him his Power Sword or the Blade Blaster in Blaster or Blade modes. I know the SDCC 2016 Legacy Figure came with the metallic version of both the Power Sword and Dino Megazord sword so to not include something more for a weapon just seems odd. The lack of the extra weapons really limits how you can pose and display this Legacy Figure.
Posing
The 20 points of articulation that Bandai has given to the Power Rangers Legacy Figures really gives alot of options when trying to find the perfect pose for these figures. Even with the terrible weapon that Bandai has chosen to include, you can still get some decent poses out of this figure. The weapon slides into his hand with little effort and unlike the Green Ranger there is no shield to restrict movement.
Final Thoughts
Considering all of the options, I recommend that you pick up these figures or at least grab the Rangers from your favorite season. I personally will be picking up all of the Legacy Rangers that they release. The Legacy Red Ranger gets 4.5 out of 5 PUNCHES. I would have given him a 5 out of 5 if he came with an additional or better weapon.

The Power Rangers Legacy Communicator is a replica of the Communicator seen on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers T.V. series in the 90's. This item is no toy, it is made of a heavy diecast metal, comes complete with lights and sounds from the original series, it is wearable and comes with interchangeable color bands to represent the five original Rangers : Black, Pink, Blue, Yellow & Red. The Legacy Communicator will cost you $69.99 and if you are like me, you will need one to represent each ranger which will cost you a decent amount of money. I want to start off by saying I did not plan on buying the Legacy Black & Gold Dragonzord for multiple reasons. The first reason being I already own the regular Legacy Dragonzord, the second reason being the price, this is a Toys R Us Only item and that means of course Toys R Us controls the pricing which is set to $79.99 I definitely suggest waiting until you have a coupon. The third reason is that this figure was not in the show, but once I saw it on the shelf at Toys R Us I impulse bought it and I am not disappointed. The Legacy Black & Gold Dragonzord does look really good and I am now kind of upset I never grabbed a Legacy Black & Gold Dino Megazord. Below you will find multiple pictures and various comparisons for height and size but this is NOT a review of the figure since it is just a repainted version of the previously released Legacy Dragonzord. Some things to know; the Legacy Black & Gold Dragonzord can combine with the regular and black and gold Legacy Dino Megazord and it is part of the Zord Builder collection meaning you can swap pieces from other sets onto it as well. Enjoy the photos and PUNCH us a comment to let us know what you think of the Legacy Black & Gold Dragonzord. As mentioned above the Legacy Black & Gold Dragonzord is part of the Zord Builder Collection so I had some fun. Below you will find the Legacy Mega Samurai Dragonzord. We finally were able to locate a Power Rangers The Movie : Legacy Falconzord at a Toys R Us store. This Legacy figure seems to have been one of the most elusive ones to date considering it was released about 2 weeks ago. As you can see above the box is pretty standard and is similar to the Power Rangers The Movie : Legacy Morpher packaging. Click "Read More" to continue!
