Power Ranger Legacy Movie Morpher Review : Pink, Red & Blue

The Power Rangers Legacy Pink, Red & Blue Movie Morphers hit Toys R Us stores  and www.ToysRUs.com this past week ahead of their June 2016 expectation date. Each Morpher is priced at $59.99 each. PUNCH the read more break below for more info!

What's In The Box?

The Legacy Movie Morphers come packaged the same as the previous Legacy Morphers. The boxes show the Morpher on the front, a brief character bio on one side, "The Story" on the other side and the back just shows more product info. (All Shown Below). There is nothing really fantastic about the boxes but they still look good.

Wait Are These Legacy MOVIE Morphers?

The Legacy Movie Morpher is made of die-cast metal. The entire front silver part of the Morpher is die-cast as well as the Power Coins exactly like the previous Legacy Morphers. This product definitely has alot of weight to it. I have two issues with the Legacy Movie Morpher and it actually really bothers me. These Morphers do not come with the Ninjetti Power Coins but instead they come with the combined Dino Coin. I find this odd for two reasons : 1) The Legacy White Ranger Movie Morpher came with the Falcon Coin & 2) These are Legacy MOVIE Morphers! Why are the Ninjetti coins from the movie NOT included??!? This makes me crazy, I can only guess that down the line they will make ANOTHER Legacy Morpher and it will come with all five Ninjetti coins, or maybe they will be included with the Legacy Ninja Megazord? I have no idea I am just speculating because I feel the need to justify the terrible decision to not include these coins.

Even with my issue of the missing Ninjetti Power Coins, as you can see from above the Legacy Coins are very details and do look great. Below you will see the actual Morphers which are also very detailed and the chrome finish combined with the Movie Morpher design really gives them a nice look.

What Else Do They Do?

So like the other Legacy Morphers these Morphers come with the belt clip and have lights and sounds(Batteries Included). The lights and sounds are not movie specific and are actually the same sounds from the original Legacy Morpher.

Final Thoughts....

The Power Rangers Legacy Movie Morphers are very detailed and are priced in line with the other Legacy Line Morphers. They contain die-cast metal parts and come with the extra coins as well as the belt clip in case you want to weigh the front of your jeans down a bit. The lack of the Ninjetti Power Coins makes this product just a Legacy Gimmick. If you have the Legacy White Ranger Movie Morpher and want a full set then definitely pick it up but if you have the original Legacy Morpher there really isn't anything that special about these 3 that were released. We also have no word on if Bandai is going to release a Black & Yellow Legacy Movie Morpher, at least at this point they have not said yes or no on the subject. It is quite possible we never see a Black or Yellow Morpher similar to how the Ranger Keys stopped just short of a completed set. I have given the Power Rangers Legacy Movie Morpher 2.5 out of 5 PUNCHES. They look good but aren't a MUST HAVE item. What do you think of the Legacy Movie Morphers? PUNCH us a comment and let us know!

I'm glad that they are more movie-accurate than the initial pictures showed them to be, but I agree that they could be better. They for sure really needed to include Ninjetti coins. My dream would be a single movie morpher that comes with changeable faceplates and the Dino and Ninjetti coins for all 5 rangers. It would probably be crazy expensive, but I'm sure it would be less than buying a separate morpher for each color.
I don't think these are a must have for me right now. I think I would rather wait and see what else comes out. I'm happy with my regular legacy morpher.

I still can't believe how crazy expensive Power Rangers stuff is. For 60 bucks I've definitely seen bigger items with all sorts of bells and whistles in the toy aisles.

At that price point the morpher better come with at least tons of coins, interchangeable color faceplace pieces and straps, and a pair of cool gloves haha

I dont need the thing made of metal, make them plastic and drop the ridiculous price tag. Obviously this thing isnt for kids (they cant afford it!), so make it some kind of model kit for power rangers fans to customize. Then make a less elaborate one for kids so their parents can actually afford to buy them a few instead of instantly ignoring it.

Why are there only 4 and not 6 legacy morpher. Why did they only make red pink and blue and white. Where is the black and yellow ranger morphers

Hey Michael!
That is a great question! I wish they would have continued making the Legacy Movie Morphers too! It is very weird that they stopped after Red, Pink & Blue. I would think the missing Black and Yellow legacy morphers might be due to low sales of red, pink & blue. I did some research for you and found out that Bandai currently does not have any plans to release black or yellow but it's not off the table completely. Sorry you are unable to complete the set however Bandai did release the Legacy Ninjetti Coins recently, were you able to obtain a set of those?
