The Legacy Red Ranger Helmet from Bandai is a first time product for the company showcasing a full cos-play Red Ranger helmet. This product is priced at $99.99 and is not a retailer exclusive. The product was originally scheduled for release in November but Toys R Us stores were selling the product as it arrived to them.
Packaging
The Legacy Helmet packaging is actually not bad. The packaging features the Red Ranger on it, images of the helmet and a story of the Red Ranger as well as the origin which is similar to other Legacy Line packages. The helmet itself comes wrapped in tissue paper and then wrapped in plastic and then encased in a cardboard shell. This is good because even if the outside box is a bit damaged from shipping the product inside it most likely perfectly fine.
The Helmet & Stand
The Legacy Helmet does include a stand to display it which is a great idea. The stand has a plate on the front that says "Mighty Morphin Red Ranger" and it is done in a gold metallic paint. To me this was a great touch by Bandai and really gives the product a nice way to display it. The helmet itself is great, keep in mind this is a cos-play helmet for $99.99 and most actual cosplay helmets will cost you anywhere from $250.00 to $300.00 depending on the maker. Than being there are key differences in the Bandai version and any cosplay made helmet, the Legacy Helmet is done in a matte finish not a shiny finish (not really a big issue for me), the plastic is VERY thin in spots and the helmet itself has very little weight to it (again not a problem), the latches on the side are not actual latches but are a tension clip that can be a bit frustrating to lock back into place after the helmet is placed on your head, additionally, the Helmet comes apart at the seem so you have to make sure it is attached all the way around but this is done with just some light pushing. The helmet comes with a hairnet which I am assuming is to keep you from catching your hair in the seems when locking it into place and the inside contains a snap back style device to make the inside fit a larger or smaller head. Venting is a slight issue on the Legacy Helmet, the only vents are near the visor seeming and it does not do much for air, clearly you are not going to suffocate inside the Legacy Helmet but you will fog up the visor fairly quickly. So extra thoughts on this product, the pin striping is really good and you can easily see through the visor, it is not glasses friendly or at least I had an issue wearing my glasses inside it with my big head....
Final Thoughts
The Legacy Red Ranger Helmet is a great product and being the first time Bandai has tried their had at a full cos-play helmet it could have gone either way. I think they did an excellent job with this Legacy product, they kept the price down and in line with other Legacy items as well as gave us a very good cos-play item, the added details and gave a stand. If you plan on picking up any of the Power Rangers Legacy products for the holidays I definitely suggest adding the Legacy Red Ranger Helmet to that list. Additionally I do hope that they decide to release more of these helmets either in the form of full teams or even Red Rangers.

The Legacy Ninja Megazord was set to release in early November but Toys R Us has been selling it in stores and online since early October. If you haven't seen or heard about it yet, Bandai has partnered with Tamashii Nations to bring us a Dino Megazord / Soul of Chogokin figure that is approximately 12" tall when combined, made with die-cast metal parts and can separate into each individual Zord. The Tamashii Nations Dino Zords can even combine into their attack mode formation.

At NYCC 2016 Bandai had the Power Rangers Movie Red Ranger Legacy Figure available for purchase as an exclusive item to the Con. This was the first time any merchandise from the new Power Rangers Movie was sold. Boom! Studios & DC Comics have joins forces to release a comic in January 2017 that will cross over the Power Rangers into the DC Universe for a 6 Issue special!

It was a long exciting 4 days of New York Comic Con with announcements from multiple companies, but the big one of the weekend had to by far be the release of the Power Rangers Movie Trailer! This was the first look at the movie and it left everyone wanting to see more! I have had people telling me since its release on Saturday that they want to see this movie but previously had said that they thought it was going to be for kids. This is clearly not the case with the trailer, Saban and Lionsgate have been saying for months that this will be a "Darker Version" of the series that has been airing on T.V. all these years and in my opinion they delivered. The trailer shows us the Rangers having to attend a weekend schooling for delinquents, Jason has an ankle monitor, Trini is bullied with the words "Die Ugly Loser!!" & " No One Will Care!" written on her locker, you can also see the word "Bitch" scratched into it two times as well, Billy is bullied by someone who we can assume is Bulk and the is protected by Jason, Kimberly is confronted by her "Friends" and then cuts her hair short. The Rangers obtain the Power Coins and notice a physical change in themselves, Kimberly & Jason jump a canyon and tell Billy to follow, Jason breaks a sink by accident & when the bully confronts Billy and head buts him he is knocked unconscious with everyone staring at Billy wondering what happened. This is not an unfamiliar concept for the Power Rangers franchise, in Power Rangers Dino Thunder the Rangers gained specific abilities based on the Dino Gems and it is a cool idea to bring into the movie. Additionally Rita confronts Trini in her bedroom and tells her "I've killed Rangers before" and then grabs her by the neck and slams her into a brick wall. The trailer then turns to the Rangers standing around a room on platforms with energy swirling in the middle (presumably the Command Center) as the screen zooms into Jason we can see his Ranger Suit forming around his body. The trailer then fades out and we are then treated to that familiar "Go Go Power Rangers" tone and the trailer ends.
The song is the trailer is called "I Walk The Line" by Halsey and can be downloaded in the link provided! There were also new movie posters shown off at NYCC 2016, You can see them below as well! Along with all of these released items you can now access the Angel Grove High School News Paper! After the release the Power Rangers Movie social media accounts gave us a link to a Gif creator, you can access that by giving the link below a PUNCH! The Power Rangers Movie is set to teleport into theaters on 03/24/2017!

There are only 4 days until the premier of the Power Rangers Movie trailer at New York ComicCon and with that Saban & Lionsgate gave us a treat! The updated version of the Red Ranger's Power Sword was revealed and it looks amazing! It sports an updated design similar to that of the new suits and is adding to the hype for New York ComicCon where the Power Rangers brand is already asserting itself in full force. You can meet members of the original Mighty Morphing Power Rangers cast, Jason David Frank (Green Ranger - Tommy Oliver, David Yost (Blue Ranger - Billy Cranston) & Walter Jones (Black Ranger - Zack Taylor) who will be doing signings and photo ops all days, to Bandai America selling the first Power Rangers Movie figure exclusively at NYCC 2016 and the premier of the Power Rangers Movie Trailer at Madison Square Garden on Saturday 10/8/2016 with the cast of the movie available for questions. The Power Rangers franchise is definitely leaving its mark... or lightning bolt at NYCC.

Bandai released photos of its Power Rangers Movie Legacy Red Ranger New York Comic Con 2016 Exclusive today and it did not disappoint. New York Comic Con 2016 will be the first place to purchase a Legacy Red Ranger from the Power Rangers Movie, it comes with the figure shown below as well as a weapon which they are not calling the "Power Sword" just yet, and a Tyrannosaurus Power Coin. The Red Ranger is done in a metallic paint similar to the SDCC 2016 Legacy Red Ranger Figure, is limited to just 1000 pieces and is available exclusively at the Bandai America Booth #1628. This Legacy Figure is priced at $40.00.
It is important to note that Bandai America has posted this statement on their page regarding the exclusive items: "NO ticketing required for Limited Edition Bandai product or Power Rangers Exclusives. All items will be available for sale at the Bandai America booth #1628 starting at show opening, 10:00 AM every day of the show. Limited quantities available each day, first-come first-served while supplies last. Power Rangers product is limited to one item per person, per day."
