Power Rangers Legacy Falconzord Review!

       We finally were able to locate a Power Rangers The Movie : Legacy Falconzord at a Toys R Us store. This Legacy figure seems to have been one of the most elusive ones to date considering it was released about 2 weeks ago. The back of the packaging isn't anything crazy either, it shows typical product images and the different poses you can place the Legacy Falconzord in. What caught our attention the most is the lower right corner of the box. "COMING SOON" with a shadow image of the Legacy Ninja Megazord! We have not seen any product images of the Legacy Ninja Megazord yet but Bandai has stated that they will be making one, this just makes us hopeful that we will see it coming fairly soon! The Legacy Falconzord comes packaged with its wings detached which is a bit annoying but not the end of the world, just be sure you do not clip your fingers while attaching the wings.

The figure itself is standard it really didn't have anything that "Wowed" us, the talons are the only noticeable die-cast but the wings now bend in the middle to allow an added look to the figure when posed. 

When compared to the original Falconzord toy there really are not many big differences. The chrome gold color has been replaced by a dull gold which we think gives the Legacy Falconzord a bit of an elegant look to it. The 2 figures are actually not much different in size BUT the original Falconzord also came out around the time when Bandai had started shrinking down the Power Ranger Zord toys so it is safe to say we wont see that much of a size difference in the Legacy and Original figures going forward. Now we did find something interesting on the Legacy Falconzord that Bandai has not mentioned to us yet. Take a close look at the top and bottom of the Legacy Falconzord wings. Do you see those clips? Those are clips that were used to combine the Falconzord to the Shogun Megazord. Now they are a bit different than the original but its safe to say that Bandai does have plans to release a Legacy Shogun Megazord or is at least planning ahead in case they want to release one since they always say "..as long as the fans will buy it we will make it".

So this brings us to the end of the review. The rating, The Legacy Falconzord has a decent price $59.99 but is only at Toys R Us and is not currently available for purchase on Toysrus.com so it is a hunt to locate one in store. The figure itself is designed very well but really does not impress when compared to the original. The slight design changes are a plus but the lack of metal parts just seems like a bit of a let down. In the end this figure is needed if you plan on getting the Legacy Ninja Megazord when it releases. We give the Legacy Falconzord 3.5 out of 5 PUNCHES only because it's more of a needed item than a wanted item in our opinion and it could have done a bit better in the way of the Legacy Line design.
