The Power Rangers Legacy line is going strong and with the addition of the Legacy Ranger teams that come with pieces to build a Megazord it was only a matter of time before the Power Rangers Movie Rangers & Megazord were added to the mix! The Legacy Rangers & Alpha 5 for this set are $19.99 each and are a Toys R Us Exclusive! The Movie Rangers each have 20 points of articulation and are 6.5 Inches tall. Being a Toys R Us Exclusive can make these Rangers a bit hard to find, but our friend from Instagram Chronokinesis was able to get a picture of a Toys R Us shelf label. PACKAGING
The packaging used for the Legacy Movie Figures is the same design used on the rest of the Legacy Ranger line. The lightning bolts are the color of that Ranger, the image of the Ranger is shown in the button left side & the front of the packaging clear plastic allowing you to see the Ranger. The back of the packaging shows the set of Rangers that are available in that wave as well as which Ranger is needed to build each part of the Megazord. The inside packaging still has the plastic shell holding the Ranger in place but they have removed the plastic ties that held the previous waves in place. I am happy they removed the plastic mostly because it was not service a major purpose in keeping the figure safe or in place. This should also help cut down on cost for Bandai and keep the pricing in line for future Legacy Ranger figures. One thing I want to point out is that the packaging for Alpha 5 shows the Red Ranger in the corner and not Alpha, I am not sure if this was on purpose or if this is an error that just could not be corrected in time.
The Rangers & Alpha 5
The Legacy Movie Rangers are really great, they are the same design used for the New York Comic Con Red Ranger Exclusive and this Red Ranger even comes with the Power Sword weapon. The are easy to pose and each figure comes with a piece to build the Megazord! The details added to the Legacy Movie Rangers are really great and when compared to the 5" figures you can really see the changes that were made to make these figures worth the purchase.
RANGER COMPARISON
THE MEGAZORD
The Megazord used for this Legacy Ranger set is the same Megazord that was used on the previously released Interactive Megazord. I am honestly not sure if this is a Megazord design from the movie or if it was used because the Interactive Megazord was also a Toys R Us Exclusive. It definitely varies from the Megazord that was released a few weeks ago and the one we have seen in the trailers. Aside from the design change they figure itself is sturdy, it poses easily and everything snaps together with no issues.
MEGAZORD COMPARISON
The Movie Megazord is roughly the same height as our only other completed Megazord so far, the Ninja Storm Megazord.
FINAL THOUGHTS
When put all together this set of Legacy figures look amazing, the price is low and the detail is high. The Legacy Movie Ranger figures are a must buy, however being a Toys R Us Exclusive can make this set a pain to locate without the shelf label. (Thanks again to our friend Chronokinesis for that!) Everything considered the Legacy Movie Rangers get .....
