Power Rangers Legacy Red Ranger Movie Helmet - Review!

The success of the Power Rangers Legacy Line from Bandai has brought us multiple items that we could have only dreamed of years ago, from Morphers to Zords to Weapons and to Cosplay style helmets! The success of the Legacy Line has been fantastic and with that success it was only a matter of time before Bandai and Saban Brands brought us the Legacy Red Ranger Movie Helmet! This is the second helmet in the series, the first being the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger helmet and it will be followed up by the Legacy Mighty Morphin Green Ranger helmet! Priced at $99.99 this highly detailed item is available in stores and online comes with a display stand and is a wearable cosplay item. Although it does not have the specific look you would get from a cosplay company that specializes in Power Ranger helmets and suits it also won't hurt your wallet as much either so comparing the 2 would not be appropriate, instead I have chosen to take it as it is and go from there.

PACKAGING

The box for the Legacy Red Ranger Movie helmet is an odd long shape mostly because the helmet is long in design unlike the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger helmet with is more circular in design. This makes it hard for stores to allot shelf space, the 2 Toys R Us stores I was in only had room for 1 on the shelf at a time but did have others in the back so I suggest if you don't see it out then you at least ask them by using this "RWeb" Number (436832) or UPC (45557978815). The box design is done very well as you can see in the pictures below, the sides and front show the product and give it a high end look as well and the back shows the helmet with some size details and selling points.

HELMET

The Legacy helmet is highly detailed and movie accurate for the most part. I really can't say anything bad about how well it is made, Bandai designed it for cosplay so it will fit an adult male head and has a piece inside to adjust for size, I was actually to put the helmet on with my glasses and it was comfortable and didn't give me any issues. The Legacy helmet as comes with a display stand similar to the Legacy Might Morphin Red Ranger Helmet and it looks great when displayed!

FINAL THOUGHTS

I am going to skip my usual "Good" Vs "Bad" part of the review and just jump right into the conclusion. Did we need a Legacy Red Ranger Movie Helmet for a Movie that did not do as well as expected in theaters? Probably not, did I go out and buy one anyway because it looks awesome? Absolutely! The Legacy Line from Bandai was the perfect way to show what they can do and even if this is the only Legacy Movie helmet they give us I am ok with that, either way it is now part of the Power Rangers almost 25 years of history and deserves to be acknowledged with the rest of them. If you are looking for a good display piece or even a cosplay piece I definitely recommend the Legacy Red Ranger Movie Helmet!
